Where to Watch Fireworks On and Around July 4

Residents have at least two opportunities to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks.

Germantown Glory will be held Thursday, July 4 at 7 p.m. at South Germantown Recreational Park, 18041 Central Park Circle.

Then on Saturday, July 6, Mid-County Sparkles will kick off at 6 p.m. at Albert Einstein High School, 11135 Newport Mill Road, Kensington.

“Montgomery County is pleased to continue its yearly Independence Day celebrations,” said Executive Marc Elrich. “These events are more than just fireworks; they are a chance for our community to come together, celebrate our shared values, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy.”

Added Montgomery County Recreation Director Robin Riley, “The yearly celebration is a perfect opportunity to enjoy quality time outdoors with family and friends. We look forward to celebrating with you.”

Germantown Glory features a concert by Central City Orchestra. On-site parking is available.
